Which track is right for my child?
Choose AI Problem Solver for students who are new to computer science or want to create with AI without coding. Choose Track B for students already comfortable with Python, Java, AP CSA or USACO concepts. If you are unsure, start with AI Explorer or contact BayCodingClub for placement guidance.
What if my child wants Track B but has never coded?
Start with BayCodingClub’s live one-on-one Python or Java foundation course. After the student can independently use variables, conditions, loops, functions and basic projects, BayCodingClub can evaluate readiness for Build AI Apps. View the one-on-one by-level enrollment page →
Does my child need coding experience or a paid AI account?
Track A requires no coding experience. Track B expects prior Python or Java experience. Students do not need to create an adult-only AI account for class; instructors provide approved tools and supervised access. Build AI Apps includes up to $10 of guided API usage.
What tools will my child use?
We use instructor-approved AI tools for prompting, research and creative projects. Advanced students also use Python, AI APIs, GitHub, Gradio and deployment tools to build real applications. All tools are used under instructor supervision, with privacy and responsible AI practices built into every project.
How do you protect student privacy and public sharing?
Students work with approved sample data and are taught not to enter private or identifying information into AI tools. Public posting is never required; class showcases are private by default, and any public sharing requires parent or guardian approval.
How does the student portal know which course to show?
After payment, BayCodingClub assigns the purchased course to the student’s enrollment record. The portal then opens only that course and its current cohort materials. The local preview uses AI Explorer as sample data; it is not the final account system.
When does a course start?
Enrollment is rolling. A course begins once at least three students enroll. BayCodingClub then contacts families to confirm the instructor and a fixed weekly class time before the first class.
Are these live classes taught by a real instructor?
Yes. Students meet online once each week for 60 minutes in a live small group with a BayCodingClub instructor. These are not prerecorded lessons and students are not left to learn from an AI tutor. Meet BayCodingClub’s teachers →
What is included in the eight-week tuition?
Tuition includes eight weekly live classes, guided project materials, instructor feedback, a final showcase and a parent progress summary. Builder and Startup levels also include the technical or team mentorship listed in their plan above.
What will a Build AI Apps student be able to make?
By the end of the eight-week course, students work toward an independently explainable product with a functional web interface, external API integration, structured data or image output, and an AI-powered feature. The final project is designed to run as a real demo and become a portfolio-ready case study the student can continue improving for future academic applications.
What are the missed-class, cancellation and refund terms?
Please email info@baycodingclub.com as early as possible if a student will miss class. Make-up or credit options depend on the course and cohort and are only available when stated on the payment page. You may request cancellation within the first week after the student’s first class by emailing BayCodingClub; after that first week, cancellation requests are no longer accepted. What information and agreements are needed at checkout?
Include the student’s name in the checkout notes. For scheduling and homework, provide the child’s name, grade and email address. Class information will be sent to both the parent and the student. A parent or legal guardian must review and accept the course and checkout terms, the enrollment and student privacy authorization, and the BCC Waiver and Release of Liability before payment.
