Parent Authorization & Student Privacy Notice

This notice explains the information BayCodingClub needs to enroll and teach a student, how that information is used, and the choices a parent or guardian has.

EFFECTIVE JULY 17, 2026 · VERSION 1.0
Before this is placed into a live Stripe checkout: BayCodingClub should have the final notice and consent flow reviewed for its actual tools, student ages and data practices. For children under 13, a simple checkbox may not by itself satisfy every requirement for verifiable parental consent.

1. Enrollment authorization

By accepting this notice, I confirm that I am the student’s parent or legal guardian and authorize the student to enroll in the selected BayCodingClub AI Academy course. I understand that classes are live, online, instructor-led and held in small groups.

Courses use rolling enrollment. A course begins after at least three students enroll, and BayCodingClub will contact the family to confirm the instructor, weekly class time and joining information.

2. Information used for class

BayCodingClub may collect and use only the information reasonably needed to enroll, schedule, teach and support the student, including:

Please include the student’s name in the checkout notes. Course information may be emailed to both the parent and the student.

3. How information is used

Information is used to process enrollment, form cohorts, communicate schedules, deliver live instruction, provide assignments and feedback, monitor progress, support safety, and maintain necessary business and legal records.

BayCodingClub will not sell a student’s personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Information should be retained only as long as reasonably needed for these purposes, then deleted or de-identified according to BayCodingClub’s retention practice.

4. AI and third-party class tools

Courses may use approved video meeting, learning, hosting, payment and AI tools. Students are taught to use sample or non-sensitive data and not to enter private, identifying, medical, financial or account information into AI prompts.

BayCodingClub should share only the information necessary to operate a class tool and should use student-appropriate settings where available. A student is not required to create an adult-only AI account for class. AI output is reviewed by students and instructors; it is not treated as automatically correct.

5. Recording, images and public work

This general enrollment consent does not authorize BayCodingClub to publicly use a student’s name, image, voice or identifiable work. It also does not authorize class recording for promotional use. BayCodingClub must obtain separate, specific parent or guardian permission before recording for non-essential purposes or publicly sharing identifiable student work.

Students must not record classes, publish meeting links, or share personal information about classmates.

6. Parent choices and contact

A parent or guardian may contact BayCodingClub to ask what student information is maintained, request correction or deletion where applicable, or withdraw permission for future collection or use. Withdrawal may make it impossible to continue providing parts of the course.

Questions or requests: info@baycodingclub.com. Additional information is available in the BayCodingClub Privacy Policy and general FAQ.

7. Cancellation and missed classes

If the student will miss a class, the family should email BayCodingClub as early as possible. Any make-up or credit option depends on the selected course, cohort availability and the terms shown on the payment page.

A family may request cancellation within the first week after the student’s first class by emailing info@baycodingclub.com. After the first week, cancellation requests are no longer accepted. The refund terms displayed and accepted on the Stripe payment page govern any refund amount or timing.
