Students will cover a variety of higher math topics which are not normally covered in school. Through lessons, math problems, and games, students will learn new math concepts, and practice their mathematical reasoning. Topics include logic, set theory, graph theory, and game theory. Some experience with algebra, such as solving linear equations for x, is recommended for enrollment.

Lessons will cover most of the followings. Each week in one round will different from others.

  • Giotto
  • Nim & the rectangle game
  • Prisoner’s dilemna
  • Graph theory, including traversability, loops, etc (not as entertaining)
  • Large numbers
  • Set theory, cardinality
  • Lewis Caroll puzzles & logical reasoning
  • Watermelon language (decoding which number is which)
  • Jittery soldiers problem
  • Parity
  • Generally isomorphic problems
