Winter Online Courses will be offered between Dec 21-23 or Dec 28-30, 2020, and give students an opportunity to excel in their levels and problem-solving skills in a short time. There are several different types to choose from:
- Grade K-2: Game Design with Scratch Camp
Students will learn basic programming fundamentals through Scratch, a kid-friendly programming language designed by MIT. Students will create their own interactive applications.
- Grade 3-5: Python/ Roblox (Game Design)
Students will learn the basics of programming in python, like input, variables, conditions, and loops. Students will apply this knowledge to make drawings with the turtle graphics library. - Grade 6-9: Python (Learn in-depth)
Students will learn programming concepts in python, such as inputs, variables, conditions, loops, and lists. Students will learn introductory data science, and use this python knowledge to analyze datasets. - Grade 4 and up: Java Camp
Students will learn the basic programming concepts in Java, such as classes, variables, conditions, arrays. Students will use Greenfoot, an IDE built for kids to learn Java, in order to make basic games. - Online One-on-One Class
