Course Description:
A 6-week course to provide students a basic grasp on the different phases of production and
complete a short narrative video.Students will be assigned homework to be reviewed in class the following week. Weekly assignments will include, Cinematography exercise: students must ‘acquire’ certain shots with a camera they have available.
[Materials]:
– Digital camera (dslr, camcorder, phone, etc.)
– Computer w/ video editing software. Adobe, Final Cut, or Da Vinci Resolve are preferred for
advanced options, but iMovie is acceptable.
– Script-writing software. Final Draft or Celtx are industry standards and are inclined towards
proper screenwriting format.
– Memory stick or hard drive
