Learn how to create a cool robot with fully functional parts, motors, and more!

The official Virtual Robotics Toolkit is needed in this course.

Robotics Club uses virtual robotics kits to teach students how to assemble, build, and code robots from scratch and using block coding. During instructor-led sessions, students will engage in activities, challenges, and projects that will equip them with the engineering skills, innovation, and creativity to venture into the world of robotics and engineering!

And then after every 2 months, students will be able to team up or individually tackle projects or challenges assigned to them by the instructor so that they can apply their knowledge and skills and also explore their competitive side of robotics. And students will be able to show their robots to their peers and to the instructor in a showcase that everyone is invited to join!

Schedule Layout (All year around)

  • Almost every month (when we aren’t doing the competitions): We will be doing casual projects individually led by instructor or in teams in breakout rooms
      • Week 1
        • Project brainstorming/planning and figuring out the design of the robot
      • Week 2-7
        • Creating and working on the robot/project, with instructor’s guidance
      • Week 8
        • Everyone showcases their robots/projects and we use them together and give reviews/tips
  • Every third month: We will do a themed competition/project, where everyone will individually create cool robots or projects based on given prompts or story problems
    • Week 1
      • Brainstorm/planning for how to approach the project
    • Week 2 and 3
      • Create and work on the programs and robot design
    • Week 4
      • Invite people to come to our zoom call for the bi-monthly competition so the students can showcase their robots
