Prerequisite: For the advanced class, students are required to have some experience in Python before enrolling. Students who have completed the Intermediate Fundamental Languages camp are welcome to enroll, as well as any student who has taken Python at Bay Coding Club before. Before enrolling a student who has learned Python in another setting, please inquire about taking a proficiency test.
Students will explore some advanced applications of programming.
Week 1 – This is a hands-on instructor led course. At the beginning, we will focus on introducing students to the fundamentals of Java, focusing on variable types, conditionals, loops, methods, and arrays.
Week 2 – Students will spend time learning how to coding in C++. All the C++ fundamental knowledges. This course is preparation for USACO ( American Computer Science Olympiad ).
Week 3 – In this camp, you will learn the fundamentals of Javascript, one of the most popular and flexible programming languages on the internet! Through the variety of projects and coding challenges the course provides, students will have plenty of fun trying to solve the problems posed by each topic! We will be covering a variety of important subjects ranging from basic programming syntax to making games, while giving students plenty of opportunities to show their creative side!
