In Scratch, there are various resources we can use to create a game or a project. You can create/draw sprites, code, design audio, create/draw backgrounds, and many more functions!
This is where Scratch club comes in -- we motivate students of all ages and genders to experiment with all the components of game design, coding, and the myriad STEM foundations involved in making a game with Scratch! Using block coding, Scratch’s paint functions, students will learn coding, physics concepts, animation, and sound design.
We will have monthly challenges where students will individually create games based on themes, given sprites, etc. We will also create games together and split into different roles (animator, coder, artist, audio designer, etc.).
