Course Description and Course Goals
This course will cover the fundamentals of Javascript, one of the most popular and flexible programming languages on the internet. Students will be tasked to complete various coding challenges and projects that will improve programming skills as well as having the opportunity to show their creative side. As a result of this course, you will be able to:
- Read and write code in Javascript Syntax
- Gain a solid understanding of important general programming topics, including

- Solve programming problems in Javascript
- Use HTML canvas, a simple yet powerful tool for the generation of script-based games and utilities
- Use Javascript to manipulate an HTML page

Assignments & Homework
- Projects and code problems will be handed out on a weekly basis for students with the expectation that the projects/code problems will be completed by the next class.
- Instructors are always available to answer any questions students may have when completing the deigned tasks
- Projects and code problems must be turned in no later than two weeks after the material has been handed out
Attendance and Participation
- If a student will be missing class due to schedule conflict, please contact the instructor ahead of time to receive the necessary materials
- Students are encouraged to participate in discussions and ask questions throughout the class.
