Time and date are expected to be adjusted, and a notification email will be sent . We have one month policy of cancelation. 

Your subscription will automatically renew every 4 weeks when the course starts. You will be charged on each renewal until you cancel in your account settings or by submitting email to info@baycodingclub.com. If you cancel, previous charges will not be refunded, but you may continue to use the service until the end of the term you paid for.

Description

  • Scratch is a simple graphical programming platform designed by MIT for children.
  • Scratch is a great way for kids to get started with programming and game design.
  • Children can create their own ideas by dragging and dropping the colorful programming sentence.
  • It helps children learn to creativity, work collaboratively, and problem-solving.——essential skills for the era of AI.

Level 1  (20 classes).

In this level, we will introduce children to the world of Scratch, a kid-friendly, MIT software coding environment. kids will learn the basics of how to use scratch coding interface and put their idea and creation into an interesting game’s design& building.

Level 2  (20 classes).

It is based on Level 1. After students learnt basic programming languages and Scratch concepts, they will use them to design more challenging games and learn deeper computer science concepts. BCC builds a project in each class, from animation, games, to graphic design and storytelling, and more. Students’ problem-solving skills and creativity will be further enhanced.

Level 3 (20 classes).

The class of level 3 will cover the most advanced Scratch coding knowledge. Students will be challenged through advanced game design projects. They are encouraged to design their own games and play them with their classmates. They will also learn how to make intergrated games and how to split the design process into multiple steps and code them efficiently.

Level 4 (20 classes).

Students will be an expert on Scratch when they complete this level. They will be introduced to some typical games which they may familiar with in the game store, like Flappy Bird, 2D Minecraft and Snake. Most of the important concepts they learnt from previous levels will be composed into the projects they build during this level.

 

Level 5 + advanced ( 20 classes) 

Projects game and team work with peers. Evaluation needed by the instructor.
